Permitted Cannabis Cultivator Arrested For Increasing On Neighboring Land


Every year, the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Workplace participates in Operation Green Wave, an enforcement work that consists of the California Division of Fish and Wildlife, the U.S. Forest Service, CalCannabis, and the California Water Resource Handle Board.

The Sheriff’s Workplace has also partnered with the California National Guard for the 2019 Operation Green Wave.

On Tuesday, September 17, teams involved with Operation Green Wave served a search warrant at an unpermitted cannabis cultivation website on a home in the Burr Valley region of Humboldt County close to Highway 36.

When authorities served the search warrant, they identified 42-year-old Zeb Giacomini tending to cannabis plants on the home.

Giacomini is a cannabis cultivator with a permitted develop on his home, but had expanded his operation onto neighboring land.

According to the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Workplace, various stream violations, stream pollution, and illegal grading challenges have been identified at the develop website.

In the course of the service of the warrant, officers found 1,442 cannabis plants that have been getting grown outdoors, 50 pounds of processed marijuana, 5 rifles, and two handguns.

Two of the 5 rifles have been found to have been modified to be completely automatic.
